Single use cutlery... no more?

Single-use plastic cutlery and plates to be banned in England!

Each person in England uses an average of 18 single-use plastic plates and 37 items of plastic cutlery every year, according to Defra, while just 10% of those are recycled.

Here at Really Eco Baby we welcome this change, we think it will have a huge positive impact on our environment, however like every change there will be some uproar and some transition time.. it reminds us of when the 5p plastic bag charge came about.. so much controversy, yet now it is widely accepted, expected and encouraged. As a nation we are now much better at carrying around our reusables in the boot of the car and we become frustrated when we have forgotten them.. See the difference a little bit of time can make!

Maybe we will all eventually turn to carrying our own personal cuttlery around with us.. I would be happy to, how about you?
